Judge or Be Judged

Alright, let's get real for a minute: is Judge Judy even a real judge, or is she just a TV judge? It's a question that's been on our minds for years!

Well, the answer is yes and no. Judy Sheindlin was a real family court judge in New York City before she became a TV star. So technically, she's a real judge. But her TV show is not an actual court of law, so her rulings aren't legally binding.

But that doesn't mean Judge Judy isn't the real deal when it comes to dispensing justice. She may not have the power to throw people in jail, but her decisions on the show are based on real cases and real legal principles. Plus, her no-nonsense approach and witty comebacks make for some seriously entertaining TV.

So whether she's a real judge or just a TV judge, one thing is for sure: Judge Judy is an icon in her own right, and we'll keep tuning in to watch her deliver her unique brand of justice with style and sass.
